Early wake up this morning at 3:30am, bags out at 4:30, identify bags at 5:00 to depart for airport at 5:15 for 7:00 flight to Durban via Johannesburg. It was raining when we got to Johannesburg and it followed us to Durban in Kwazulu Natal. From Durban we drove to the beach in Westbrooke (yes in the rain) for people to put their feet in the warm water of the Indian Ocean.
Since this was pretty much a travel day, nothing super fascinating, but wait until tomorrow!
Once we left the beach at Westbrooke, we headed to our lodge for the night very near Hluhluwe/Umfulozi Game Reserve. It's an awesome lodge out in the bush called Emdoneni Lodge. My room is a hut with a thatched roof and no TV, but it's wonderful here. Dinner was great and the cooks and wait staff even performed for us.
